Paws in the Park

Im a proper good looking working cocker, ask me to go into any undergrowth, hunt and retrieve and I will do the job.
Blimey, this is a big event loads of dogs (not half as handsome as me) Had a hot dog with Dad then we waited ages in a big queue.
Those border collies are bit hyper. Wish the one in front would shut up for 5 minutes!
Oh god, its my turn,
That Collie with his red bandana never put his paw in the water
Up the steps me and dad go, bit slippery... who's the muppet in the wet suit..
if he thinks I'm gonna retrieve for him he is much mistaken!!
I only go when i'm told,
Anyway WHERE ARE THE DUCKS
The man in the wetsuit threw a ball and I was supposed to get very excited and run along a platform and throw myself into a 30 foot swimming pool.
You can throw that ball all you like.
I dont do balls.
Big crowd here, quite noisy, WHERE ARE THE DUCKS
Dad told the man in the wet suit to just throw the ball.
I watched the ball then dad sent me
An easy retrieve for me,
Apparently I jumped 14 feet.
Won a big bag of treats and a rosette for second place
Give me a muddy lake a warm duck anyday..
..haircut next week ready for my proper job.

Buzz at Paws in the Park 08

We competed Buzzy last year without any training ( see his blog page)  and it was such fun and gave our cockers ( and us!) another focus during the summer when the shooting season is over. This year we are going on the training day to give Buzz more confidence about jumping into a swimming pool!!
